The Investiture Ceremony 2018 took place on 30.06.2018, at The Yendurance Zone, Yenepoya University, Derelakatte, Mangalore. The School Band opened the Ceremony with a formal welcome, followed by the Prayer Song and School Anthem. The Welcome Address was then given by the Principal Mr. Joseph Mechirath. It was indeed an honour to have amongst us the Chief-Guest, Dr. Akthar Hussain, Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Yenepoya University who was introduced by Aarnav Alva of Grade X A, along with Mr. Yenepoya Moideen Khurshid, Director of the Yenepoya Group, the proud parents of the newly elected Cabinet Members and some of the Former Head Boys and Head Girls – Adil Soopi (Head Boy 2010 - 2011), Abhiram Nair (Head Boy 2011 – 2012), Mohd Maqsood (Head Boy 2012 – 2013), Nikhila Maria Paul (Head Girl 2013 – 2014) and Mizna Alima (Head Girl 2015 -2016).
The Formal Programme began with an Introduction of an Investiture Ceremony, after which the badges and sashes were conferred to the newly elected Members of the School Council for the year 2018 - 2019. The Council Members are - Ruby House Captain – Shamaz Hashim A.K, Ruby House Vice Captain – Gagan J, Emerald House Captain – Mohammed Farhaan, Emerald House Vice Captain – Amna Javed, Jasper House Captain – S Meghna, Jasper House Vice Captain - Liya Khadeeja Haider, Sapphire House Captain – Sushma, Sapphire House Vice Captain – Abdur Rahman Kola, Speaker – Vishnu Menon, Deputy Speaker – Khadeejath Taiba, Cultural Secretary – Saina Fathima, Joint Cultural Secretary – Anirudh Shenoy K, Discipline Leader – Mohammed Raahil Elias, Cleanliness Leader – Shikhar, Band Major – Aman Akthar Guthigar, Assistant Band Major – Himanshu Hegde, Sports Captain Girl - Leisha Nicole Dsouza, Sports Captain Boy – Naji Swabri, Vice Sports Captain Girl – Vindya G Bhandary, Vice Sports Captain Boy - Hamdan Ahmed, Assistant Head Girl – Anshu Mariam, Assistant Head Boy – Sani Abubaker, Head Girl – Ritu Raj and Head Boy – Vishnu P Alokkan. The Members of the Cabinet then took their Oath, lead by Head Boy, Vishnu P Alokkan and Head Girl, Ritu Raj, after which the Former Head Girl passed on The Yenepoya School Flag to the Head Boy and Head Girl for the year 2018 – 2019. After the formal oath-taking ceremony, Nikhila Maria Paul, Mohd Maqsood, Mizna Alima and Adil Soopi spoke a few words, after which the Chief-Guest Dr. Akthar Hussain addressed the gathering. The Cabinet Members then had a photo taken along with the dignitaries, mementoes were given to the Former Head Boys and Head Girls and the Programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks.
