As the part of CBSE ACTIVITIES 2022, students of The Yenepoya School organised Green School Drive on 15th September 2022. The Drive was inaugurated by the Principal, Mr. Uzwal Menezes. The drive was forwarded by the campus coordinator Ms. Euvet Pereira. Students prepared different kinds of placards and displayed in the campus and created awareness among the junior classes with slogans like..ONE EARTH ONLY ONE CHOICE, SAVE WATER, SAVE SOIL, ENCOURAGE CAR POOLING, STOP USING PLASTICS, STOP CUTTING TREES . The green school drive ended by initiating a small presentation for the junior grades and even arranged an exhibition of the placards. More than 300 students and 45 Teachers had taken part in the drive.
The students of grade 8 visited Jappinamogaru and created an awareness drive by meeting a mixed crowd and distributed cards and interacted with them on topics like Swachata and Corona Virus.
Principal of the school, Mr. Uzwal Menezes, delivered a pep talk on the issue and Mr. Rajesh Shetty resident of that locality added his thoughts on it. Students were very much delighted and involved in the drive by sharing the awareness cards.
As a part of CBSE academic year activities, Hand wash task was organised by our school children. The children were being informed the usage of hand wash and how to remain hygienic in all the conditions.

The Yenepoya School has always been active in motivating the teachers to enhance their teaching skills. Hence as a part of Shikshak Parv, The Yenepoya School had organized a demonstration and interaction on innovative pedagogy on 16th September, 2022. The resource person for this programme was Dr. Rose Kiran Pinto, Assistant Professor, St Ann’s College of Education, Mangaluru.
The resource person demonstrated the inquiry training model to explain the concept of ‘transfer of heat’ to the students. She also emphasized on the importance of using innovative methods in teaching and encouraged the teachers to use these innovative methods in their classes. The teachers actively participated in the programme.
On the occasion of Shikshak Parv, teachers of The Yenepoya School implemented the concepts of innovative methods of pedagogy in their classes. They explained about Pascal's law in a very innovative manner using models. Students were asked to make models so as to understand the concept through hands on experience.
On the occasion of Shikshak Parv, The Yenepoya School actively participated in the events and one of those were senior students acting as teachers on the occasion of “Teachers Day”. At The Yenepoya School, we are delighted to inform you that our senior most students of Grade 11 science participated in this event where 15 out of 21 students volunteered themselves to be student-teachers and took classes on Life skills, Value education, Science and technology, Mathematics and English for Grades 3-10. Student-teachers dressed up in formals, prepared well for their classes and they left no stone unturned to make this day a memorable one.
