“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru
Childhood is a blessing and the most fun filled phase of life. 14th November is the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. This day is celebrated as “Children's Day “all over India. The Yenepoya School celebrated Children's Day with enthusiasm and vigour this year. A beautifully decorated stage was constructed in the auditorium. The children came in colorful attire and seemed enthusiastic for the exciting day ahead of them.
The students were seated in the auditorium to experience a power packed programme specially arranged for the children. Teachers gave various performances for the students in order to exhibit their love and affection for them. In the interim of the cultural function, the MC invited the Principal Mrs Grace Noronha on stage to speak a few words. She delivered a beautiful speech explaining the reason behind the celebration of teacher's day and the legacy of chacha Jawaharlal Nehru's works. Following this the Principal and our Campus Director, Mrs Mishria Javeed played a wonderful game of positive affirmations with them. The auditorium was buzzing with excitement and joy. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day. As Children’s day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was extremely fond of children, the programme clearly depicted the spirit of the occasion.
