The students of Montessori and Grades 1 & 2 celebrate 'colours week' annually and this year it's back with a bang! Children are requested to come dressed in the desired colour along with a toy of the same colour, to be displayed on the finale.
Day 1: Red
Red, the colour of blood and fire is associated with love, sensitivity, joy, strength, leadership and determination. Our tiny tots look stunning dressed in red. The shades of red make the kids feel bright, lively and cheerful.
Day 2: Blue day
The colour blue represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with freedom, loyalty and wisdom. Our tiny tots came dressed up in the colour blue and spoke about the colour in the assembly.
Day 3: Yellow Day
Yellow symbolises optimism, energy, joy, happiness and friendship. It is considered the happiest colour of sunshine. Our tiny tots looked happy and bright as they came dressed up in yellow.
Day 4: Green Day
Green is a colour that can evoke powerful emotions. It is a dominant colour in nature. Children spoke on the colour green and they were served a healthy snack on a banana leaf to represent nature and the colour green.
To culminate our colours day week ,we had a colour day finale where children spoke and sang on their class colour . We also had children perform on the rainbow colours .
Each child bought toys of their class colour and it was all displayed for the finale. Each child went home with head bands of their class colour.
