FIELD TRIP TO LAUNDRY LINE AND FOOD CRAFT, DERALAKATTE:

The students of 'Akshara House of Children' enjoyed a day at the Kitchen and Laundry, Yenepoya University, Deralakatte as part of their field trip.
The students were shown how clothes are washed in a huge washing machines and witnessed how food is being cooked in large cookers. They also saw cakes and bread being baked.
The field trip was concluded by serving the children and staff with mouth watering delicacies.

          

          

          

          

          

          

          

          

FIELD TRIP TO SAHYADRI PLANT NURSERY:

The little ones of Akshara House of Children were taken on a field trip to Sahyadri Plant Nursery. This field trip was made in order to enhance the children's understanding of the theme 'From Seed to Plant'. The children had a great time seeing various plants, and noticed the different hues of flowers. They were especially enthralled by the blue lotus and the air plants.
The owners were very happy to show the eager little ones around the Nursery and the children were most excited to receive a treat.

          

          

          

          

          

          

          

          

          

FIELD TRIP TO FISHERIES COLLEGE, MANGALORE:

Students of grades 1 and 2 had an amazing time at Fisheries College, Mangalore, where they witnessed varieties of fish with different shapes and colours. Children were super excited to watch the aquatic animals. The instructor informed the students about the different methods they use to preserve the creatures. FIELD TRIP TO RAILWAY STATION, MANGALORE:

Faster than fairies, faster than witches, bridges and houses, hedges and ditches..
And charging along like troops in a battle, all through the meadows the horses and cattle..
All of the sights of the hill and the plain, fly as thick as driving rain..
Where are we, any guess folks?? Yes..yes...we're on a train!!

A field trip visit was organised to Mangalore Junction Railway Station for students of grade 1. The purpose of the visit was theme-based on the lesson, 'My First Train Trip', and also to acquaint the students with the transport facility used by most of the people in our country. It was one of a kind experience for the students as they explored the area thoroughly. Children were excited to see the train arrival and departure and they thanked the station master by giving a 'Thank You' card. It was a fruitful learning experience for the students.
