Independence Day Celebration 2023

The Yenepoya School & PU College celebrated the 77th Indian Independence Day at the school campus. Students of PU College steered the event and displayed a fantastic show. An aura of Patriotism could be felt around everybody. Director of Academics and Operations, Mrs. Mishria Javed, Principal, Mr Uzwal Menezes, Vice Principal, Mr. Padmanabhan, Campus Coordinator, Mrs. Euvet Pereira and Chief Academic Officer, Mr. Joshlyn Mathias graced the occasion. The choir initiated the programme with a prayer that was followed by the school anthem. Importance of the day was beautifully conveyed. A patriotic song was recited to pay tribute to our Indian Tricolour. The Flag was unfurled by our esteemed dignitaries. The programme proceeded with declaiming the pledge and the preamble was read out to the audience. Academic and Sports achievers were felicitated with awards for their outstanding performance in their respective traits. The Principal delivered his key note address. INDEPENDENCE DAY ACTIVITIES:

Students of The Yenepoya School showed enthusiastic participation in various competitions that were conducted as per their respective NEP levels.

Students of NEP 2 competed in the Fancy Dress with Speech Competition. They perfomed with the true spirit of patriotism by enacting as freedom fighters. Master Aarush Sai Kotian of grade 3 secured the 1st place, followed by Miss. Simrah Safiya Saleem of grade 4, bagging the 2nd place and Master Muhammed Arish of grade 4 at the 3rd position.

The audience was also a testimony to some fantastic speeches delivered by our eloquent orators. Students of NEP 3 participated in the Elocution Competition. Miss Haleema Hamnah Sharief of grade 6 stood 1st, followed by Ayan Rahman Kareem of grade 7 and Sreelakshmi S of grade 8 in the 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Students of NEP 4 contested for the Pick and Speak Competition. It was indeed difficult for the judges to choose the rightful winner as students were vying for the spot. Kadeeja Afrin of grade XI emerged victorious followed by Fathima Rufiya Merchant of grade XII and Manisha Suresh of grade IX at the 3rd postion.
