National Doctor's Day Celebration by NEP 1:

National Doctors' Day is celebrated on 1st July, every year, across the country to pay tribute to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, who was not only a renowned doctor but also a freedom fighter.

A doctor's profession is considered to be very noble. The Yenepoya School students of Grade 2 put up a splendid performance in recognition of the contributions and sacrifices made by doctors to the welfare of the society.

We began the programme by paying homage to God. Then, the M.C. took charge and engaged the audience about the agenda of the programme. Two students educated us about the importance of doctors and the pivotal role they play in our lives. A group of students also dedicated a lovely song to the doctors. The song was followed by a skit, which highlighted the importance of washing hands and keeping oneself clean.

The Doctors' Day programme was a great hit. Every child played his/her role with great zeal and fervour. They all went back with a feeling of renewed respect for the doctors.
