Orientation Programme for Grade 9

The Yenepoya School, Mangalore organized an Orientation programme for the parents and students of class IX at the school premises on 20 November, 2021. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institution and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.

The programme commenced with a silent prayer.

Mrs Grace Noronha, our honorable Principal, while addressing the audience, said that the students must work to achieve their highest potential and she sought the cooperation and support of the parents. She was also delighted to announce that the school is now upgraded to Senior Secondary level affiliated to CBSE, Delhi, and classes from l to XII, could be conducted. Next Academic Year, 2022-2023, Class Xl with Science stream will be introduced.

Mrs Mishria Javeed, the Campus Director, expressed her gratitude to the parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution. She gave necessary information about the academic planning by the school for completion of syllabus well in advance for the benefit of the students. She also briefed about the newly introduced pattern of examination by CBSE for the current year.

Mr Sinan Zakariyya , the Academic Consultant, elaborated on the importance of Foundation course which is being presently conducted for Classes IX and X in the school. He mentioned that competitive exams help students get through to top colleges in their respective field. However these exams are highly challenging and require vigorous efforts from the students in order to secure good ranking.

Mr Sushil Rathi, Lecturer in Physics, briefed on the importance of thorough preparation for Term 1 and Term 2. He mentioned that he believed that scholastic and Co-scholastic activities are both necessary in student life. But students need to learn to balance both aspects. He encouraged students to do self study which will help them to reach their full potential.

The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session.
