Republic Day 2022

India celebrates its Republic Day on January 26 every year. This year, the country is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day to mark the day India became a sovereign republic. It commemorates the date when the Constitution of India finally came into effect on January 26, 1950. This resulted in India becoming the largest democracy that it is today.

The programme began with the invocation of God’s blessings with a prayer song by the teachers of the school. The programme was graced by the esteemed dignitaries Mrs Mishria Javeed - Campus Director, Mr Padmanabhan K-Vice Principal, Mr Ravi Goyal-Administration Officer, Mr Uzwal Menezes, Dean - Department of Science YPUC, Mrs Manjula, Dean - Department of Commerce ,YPUC.

The Programme was compèred by Mrs Merlin Menezes. Ms Jesvita Quadros welcomed the gathering following which Mr Chethan Gatty guided the dignitaries for the Flag hoisting. After the hoisting of the flag by our Campus Director, Mrs Mishria Javeed, a patriotic song was played and the National Anthem was sung by all present. Mr Fredrick Vaz led all present to take a pledge to renew our vows of allegiance towards our nation on behalf of the entire school and college faculty.

Ms Sinchana Rai emphasized the importance of the day. Mr Uzwal Menezes, addressed the gathering followed by a speech by the Vice Principal, Mr Padmanabhan K.

Mr. Donald Henry thanked the dignitaries and all members present. The Programme concluded with the distribution of sweets.

This Republic Day, let's promise to build a country that will be the ideal place to thrive for our next generation.
