Gandhi Jayanthi & ‘Swachh Bharath Abhiyan’
We celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on 2nd October in the school auditorium to commemorate the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi , a pioneer of truth and non-violence. The programme began with the morning assembly by the students of grade 9A, highlighting the significance of the day. The programme started off with a prayer followed by garlanding the portrait of Gandhi. The students saw a power point presentation on Gandhiji’s life and reflected on the great work done by him for India. The students paid homage and sang Gandhiji’s favorite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram which was followed by a dance as a tribute to him. A mime was presented by the students on the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’.
Following the principles of Gandhi, a ‘Swachh Bharath Abhiyan’ was organized by the students along with the entire faculty both teaching and non teaching who cleaned the campus and the surrounding, spreading the message of maintaining a clean environment, to all around.
