The Investiture Ceremony 2019
As John C. Maxwell once said, "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way!". On 29th of June 2019, the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected Cabinet Members of The Yenepoya School took place at The Yenepoya University, Derelakatte. Mr. Hanumantharaya, IPS, DCP, Mangalore City, was the Chief Guest of this Investiture Ceremony amongst the other dignitaries, Mr. Joseph Mechirath, Principal, Mrs. Mishria Javeed, Campus Director and Mrs. Reshma Nayak, Vice-Principal. The former Head Girl and Head Boy of the School, 2016 - 2017, Ms. Nuzha Saifunnisa and Mr. Mohammed Altaf, were also present at the event. The Programme began with the entry of the dignitaries, ushered in by the School Band. The MC for the Programme, Ms. Ameena Nazeer then commenced the Formal Programme with the Welcome Speech delivered by The Principal, along with the Introduction of the Chief Guest. Further, Ms. Anya Mumtaz, spoke about the Importance of the Investiture Ceremony, after which, the newly elected Student Council Members marched forward and were awarded their badges and sashes and together took their Prefectorial Oath lead by the Head Girl, Anshu Mariam and Head Boy, Shamaz Hashim A.K. The other Student Council Members for the year 2019 - 2020, include, Abdurrahman Kola, Ruby House Captain; Deepali, Ruby House Vice-Captain; Zaina Salena, Emerald House Captain; Mohammed Zahi, Emeral House Vice-Captain; Rishab M., Jasper House Captain; Aisiri Shetty, Jasper House Vice-Captain; Hiba Mariyam, Sapphire House Captain; Aahil Ahmed, Sapphire House Vice-Captain; Nashwa Vaheed, Cultural Secretary; Liya Khadeeja Haider, Joint Cultural Secretary; Ilham, Discipline Leader; Sushma, Cleanliness Leader; Zeina Vaseem, Assistant Cleanliness Leader; Jabez Wilson, Band Major; Steve Dominic Rego, Assistant Band Major; Vindya G. Bhandary, Sports Captain (Girl); Sarah Xavier, Sports Vice-Captain (Girl); Hamdan Ahmed, Sports Captain (Boy); Muhammed Fayaz, Sports Vice-Captain (Boy); Amna Javed, Assitant Head Girl and A. Raymond Nicholas, Assistant Head Boy. After the Oath-Taking Ceremony, a Leadership song was sung by the Teacher-Student Choir Group. Then, Electoral Speeches were delivered by the Head Girl and Head Boy. The former Head Girl and Head Boy, 2016 - 2017, also shared their thoughts on this occasion. The Chief Guest, Mr. Hanumantharaya then addressed the gathering, followed by a photo session with the newly formed Prefectoral Body of The Yenepoya School. The Programme culminated with the Vote of Thanks, delivered by Mr. Mohammed Farhan, where mementos were given to the Chief Guest and the former Head Girl and Head Boy and ended with the National Anthem.
