There is more to life than our everyday experiences of our senses.
India is a land of sages, where people come from far and wide in the reach to awaken their spiritual yearnings. We have offered the world the great Indians epics, The Mahabharata and The Ramayana. The great sage Valmiki is revered as the author of the epic Ramayana, which holds significant religious and cultural values. Each year, our country observes Valmiki Jayanthi to honor the birth of this scholar.
The Yenepoya School commemorated the day with a special assembly. It started with a prayer that was followed by the pledge. Vaishnavi of class 10 B, enlightened the students about the sage and the importance of the day. Principal, Mr. Uzwal Menezes and Vice Principal, Mr. Padmanabhan, garlanded the photograph of Shri Valmiki, seeking his blessings for wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual growth. Through the assembly, the values of righteousness, devotion, and compassion, were promoted to the gathering which are central to the Ramayana.
