On the occasion of World Thinking Day and Founder’s Day, February 22nd, 2021, The Scouts and Guides of The Yenepoya School conducted a short programme to commemorate this day. The Programme began with the singing of the Scouts and Guides Prayer Song and recital of the Scouts and Guides Promise and Motto. Nishmitha of Grade 8, welcomed the the gathering. Further, the lamp was lit by the dignitaries, Mr. Joseph Mechirath, Principal, Mrs. Mishria Javeed, Campus Director, Mrs. Yvette Pereira, Coordinator and Mrs. Meera Ranjan, Guide Captain along with the Scouts and Guides School Patrol Leaders Rajath Shetty and Hafsa Shaaz. The Importance of World Thinking Day and Founder’s Day was read by Ananya Prasad and Khathija Soha read the Importance of Scouting and Guiding, after which the dignitaries, including the Principal, Campus Director and Guide Captain, addressed the gathering. During this programme Sri. P.G.R. Sindhia, State Chief Comissioner, Bharath Scouts and Guides, Karnataka, gave a talk to all the students, all over India. This talk was displayed to the students, through a video presentation. The programme was emceed by the Patrol Leader, Hafsa Shaaz, of Grade 9. The Programme culminated with the recital of the All Faith Prayer with a moment of silence and then followed by the handing over of a sapling to be planted by the dignitaries to the students, in order to fulfil their good turn of the day.
