YENERGY 2.0 - Grand Finale

The Yenepoya School and PU College organized their online event, ‘Yenergy’ for teachers yet again for the second consecutive year. The event invited educators from all over the globe without restrictions on location, which welcomed participants from abroad and the competition was open to all educators, teachers of Kindergarten to post graduation from all teaching fraternities. Yenergy 2.0 witnessed five categories of events that were conducted online which started from the first and concluded with the grand finale on the September 5, along with prize announcements.

The concept of Yenergy is for teachers to interact and bring in a sense of normalcy in the absence of the regular Teachers' Day bash at The Yenepoya School and PU College which happens every year. The competitions this year for Yenergy included singing competition called ‘Sing is King’, Cooking Competition called ‘Lockdown Recipe’, Quiz Competition called ‘X-Quiz-IT’, Talent show called ‘Entertainmental’, and Dance Competition called ‘Happy Feet’.

Yenergy staged a huge number of participants from various states and countries this year and the competition was challenging and entertaining. Teachers from all over displayed their talents, which highlighted the festivities of the event.

One of our judges Geanette Dsouza, who judged the Entertainmental competition said, “The participants tried their best to showcase their talents in the best way they could, I certainly appreciated their enthusiasm and passion and performance. I was thoroughly entertained with the treasure trove of talents. Three cheers to Yenergy 2.0 for hosting this awesome competition with such precision”

The grand finale commenced at 5.00 Pm on Sunday, September 5, online. The principal, Grace Noronha addressed the gathering followed by a message from the campus director, Mishria Javed.

The prize winners were declared after the top five participants were nominated during the celebrations and the top three were awarded cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 sponsored by the Yenepoya University, Mangaluru.

In the category Happy Feet, first place was bagged by Mohanraj, second place was bagged by Vivette Shirly Lasrado and the third place was bagged by Soumya.

For the second competition Sing is King, Prince John bagged the first place, the second place was bagged by Meghana Rose Saldanha bagged the third place was bagged by Pramath Shetty.

Chethan Kumar bagged the first place in the category Entertainmental, followed by K K Sharath in the second place and Mohanraj bagged the third place.

In the Lock Down Recipe competition, Sushil Kumar Rathi bagged the first place, Mohan Raj bagged the second and Kiran Shetty bagged the third.

And finally, in the quiz competition X-Quiz-It, Spoorthi Hegde was declared the winner.

The Yenepoya team is indebted to all the participants for braving the present situation and putting up a great show during these unprecedented times.
